Chad Kowal, Chairman
Chad is responsible for raising investor capital, deal origination and investor relations. Between 2001 and 2008 both through the family of Funds and previously in principal investments arranged by Cinterra and/or its affiliates, Chad has been responsible for originating and structuring over 70 mezzanine and bridge loan transactions. Prior to joining Cinterra, Chad was associated with Sheldon Good and Company and Sussex and Reilly Century 21, where he was a centurion producer in 2005 and 2006. Chad has also worked directly on several high profile residential and commercial projects in Chicago and other parts of the country. In 2006, Chad acquired Hartwin, LLC (formally O'Zell, LLC) a window, door and trim distributor based in Chicago and remains a principal in the operation. Chad attended North Central College and holds an Illinois real estate license. He was invited to sit as Illinois Chairman of the Business Advisory Council in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and is actively involved in the Uhlich Children’s Advantage Network and the St. Benedict Foundation.
Patrick Maliszewski, Managing Partner
Patrick is responsible for the day to day operations of the Company as well as deal negotiation and origination. Secondarily, Patrick assists in raising capital. Patrick is responsible for all activities pertinent to investment transactions. These activities include performing due diligence, deal negotiation and deal management. In 2007, Patrick successfully negotiated 45 commercial transactions. Prior to joining Cinterra, Patrick was a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. While at Northwestern Mutual, Patrick won numerous awards for service and sales volume including the prestigious rookie of the year award twice in his first four years with the company. He provided complex financial advice to a variety of different clients such as business owners, real estate developers and high net worth individuals. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Patrick was associated with Crafton Company, a Chicago-based real estate historic restoration firm. His duties at Crafton Company included site assessment, due diligence, and sales. Patrick received a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors in Marketing from Benedictine University. Additionally, Patrick holds an Illinois real estate license and is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, the National Association for Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as a series 6 and 63 licensee. Patrick has been involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Rob Harte, Managing Partner
Rob is responsible for working with Chad and Patrick in overall strategic planning and growth of the Company. Rob works on generating and maintaining relationships among high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors into the company’s family of Funds. In addition, Rob works with real estate developers, brokers and other real estate investment funds throughout the country to attract potential investment opportunities for the Funds. For the past 17 years, Rob was the managing principal of the Chicago based international real estate developer PRM Realty Group, a firm which he co-founded with a partner in 1990. At PRM, Rob was responsible for the day-today operations, including personnel matters, capital formation, financing, entitlement, development, marketing and sales. Since its beginning in 1990, PRM’s development portfolio grew to in excess of its current build out value of over $2 Billion. Under Rob’s direct leadership, PRM sourced over $588,000,000 in investor capital. Rob received his BS in Business Management from Quincy University.
